Looking for a fun and easy way to enjoy Lake Rotoiti with friends, family, or for a group function? Rotoiti Explorer is a 12-metre (40-foot), two-level catamaran built for laid-back lake adventures. It’s perfect for family catch-ups, social clubs, group outings, or relaxed corporate hosting – with plenty of space for up to 40 guests.

Enjoy a licensed bar, an upper-deck slide straight into the lake, a spacious layout for relaxing or celebrating, and convenient onboard facilities, including a toilet. Cruise through native scenery, soak in natural geothermal hot pools, walk barefoot on warm sand beaches, and—if you're feeling adventurous—swim into glow worm caves or leap from overhanging trees into the lake any time of the year.

Every trip is fully customised to suit your group, your timing, and your budget. You can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you like – all delivered with warm, local hospitality.

Our Rates

Our minimum charter is three hours and starts at $1,900 inclusive GST. Additional hours are $650 inclusive GST

The price covers the boat hire for up to 40 guests, and includes your skipper, crew, and complimentary hot drinks and water.

Catering can be arranged ahead of time, or you’re more than welcome to bring your own food to enjoy during your time on the water.

If your group is larger than 40, please get in touch – we have options to accommodate extra guests and are always happy to help with any questions.
