Geothermal Wonders

Lake Rotoiti offers a unique window into the geothermal heart of Aotearoa. As we cruise its tranquil waters, you’ll witness steam drifting from hidden fumaroles nestled in the bush-lined shoreline. Step ashore to feel the warmth beneath your feet on naturally heated pumice sands, or unwind in the gentle flow of a spring-fed stream — a truly relaxing way to immerse yourself in nature.

Glow Worm Caves

For those who love a touch of adventure, swimming into one of Lake Rotoiti’s secluded caves to witness glow worms up close is an unforgettable experience.

The caves are shallow and safe to enter, with water only waist-deep inside. Surrounded by the soft glow of thousands of tiny bioluminescent creatures, it’s a uniquely magical moment that captures the essence of New Zealand’s natural wonder.
