The experience can be as active or as relaxed as you like. Twist your feet into the hot sand stream and beach, take a dip in the lake’s clear waters, leap from overhanging trees into the clear fresh waters, or wade into the glow worm caves to see their gentle living glow even during the day. Or simply sit back, unwind, and enjoy the stunning backdrop, the scenery is often so close you can reach out and touch it.

In the remote northern bays, see and learn about the historic Māori food storage caves that are carved into the cliffs, a special sight only visible from the water. Be stroking distance to the native mosses and ferns as your boat glides right into a cave lined with birds nests and vines.

Enjoy complimentary morning tea as the stunning landscape drifts past. This is the Rotorua Lakes as few ever experience them — up close, unhurried, and truly unforgettable.

What you need to know:

• Daily Departures 9:30am -12:00pm (2.5 hour experience), excluding Christmas Day.

• Bookings are essential. 

• A minimum of 2 Adults is required for the charter to operate. 

• The vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests.

• Bring swimwear, towel, weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses, and a camera.
